used the reflashable Amtel 29C256 chips to program their own chips?
I was thinking about doing this because I'd only have to buy 2 or 3 chips and just socket the ECM.
I already have a pocket programmer and tunercat, just need to get directscan and I'll be off and running!

Thanks!

Bruce your reading my mind. :D
Should I just go with the G2 package and skip the ZIF? Or should I get the GP2 with the ZIF also?

How many programs can I get onto a 29C256?
I'm thinking 8, right? Thumbwheel for no alky and alky maybe?

Thanks!

I use the ZIF, but I have a habit of doing alot of chips.....

BTW, the service life for the Robinson socket in the ecm seems to be about 400 cycles. Don't ask LOL

I ordered the adapter and a ZIF.
Figured WTH, just a couple bucks more.

Thanks Bruce.
