Hey guys just curious on what you use to haul your buicks around. I usually drive mine but im moving to AZ from MI and I dont really feel like paying 1500 to have it shipped. I have a 95 Chevy W/T with a 4.3 vortec, wondering if that would suffice the trip and if I could use a trailer or have to dolly it. Just looking for some feedback

GN's are heavy cars, so the 4.3 wouldn't be optimal. If you are just towing it to AZ from MI once I think you'd be fine renting a uhaul flatbed trailer and towing it with the 4.3. Just make sure you're brakes are up to the task. You may want to install a electric trailer brake to assist you in stopping. It's not how fast you go, but how well you stop, that will save your azz.

I would look into installing a transcooler on that Chevy if It's an auto as well. And don't go looking to set a cross country record either as well as lay off the A/C. You're braver than me...Good luck!

haha thanks, I dont think im braver, Im just allowed to do dumb things while im still young. As for the AC theres no worries, I had the truck for 3 years now and during the whole time never once used it, Im more of a windows down guy. oh yeah its never worked either. :D

I,ve pulled my T-Type for awhile using a 92 S-10 4.3 tpi, open trailer, but diffently make sure the trailer has breaks and take your time on the interstate I would run 60 sometimes 75 with no problems, just pay attention because it takes a little ways to stop. Jr.

Got to love the HEMI
I've pulled 3 G-bodies..one from gulfport to atlanta, a MC from Orlando to Atlanta and the 3rd from the south of GA to Atlanta

My 5.3 Silverado tows my TR with a Uhaul car hauler pretty easily but still strains a little on big hills...that's where you will have troubles...especially if you come via Flagstaff...some very long...mountain road...as stated make sure you have an external trans cooler...

yeah thats one thing that i was worried about, the mountains. Michigans pretty flat, but im looking to got to the Gilbert, Avondale area just curious on how the elevation is there compared to flagstaff

Do it at night when the temps are cooler. Will help the motor and especially the tranny quite a bit.
