and i believe the tach/boost gauge was an extra $$$ option that not all turbo Regals got.
but i could be wrong, as i've been wrong before...

Hmmmmm....

You do realize you could get a turbo buick with a bench seat and column shifter, cause you could as long as it was available for the regail for that model year.

I do not believe this was possible for the '84 Grand Nationals.

Bench seat option? Discard the Lears interior?

I believe the GN Option for the 1984 model year required the Lears interior and would eliminate a column shift possibility as well.

this is correct. all 84 gn's were identical visually. they all got lears. lears were an option in ttypes in 84.

I didn't say a "GN" Option but a turbo regal option. They most likely call it a GN like every other person out there who didn't realize there was such a thing as a limited or a T Type.

GN badging isn't intentional misleading?

This is what gets me about this discussion...

The guy knows it isn't a GN. Whether it was rebadged, or he rebadged it...
He is intentionally passing it off as a "Grand National."

Why?

So he can pass it off for more money than the thing is actually worth. We can argue back and forth what something is worth to someone... but is it not misleading that he describes it as a GN?

Looking at some of the commentary posted here... even in our own community we have some questions on what was actually offered for the 2,000 '84 GN's that were built.

my 1984 wh1 was sandstone interior, bech seats, column shift.

ALL 84 Gn's I have ever seen have been lear buckets, console shift, and all had the General lee rims. All the t-types had the aluminum finned wheels....The t's came with the turbo 6 on the fenders, the GN's came with GN badges. Best hting to have is the under-seat-code sheet....is it WH1 or the GN WE2.....As I also understand, the G80 was an option for both the GN and the t, not standard equip. I have seen manual locks and windows though on the GN...... So....anyone else wanna add?

The Lear buckets were standard on the 84 GN's. The posi rear G80 was an option that cost $95.00.
