OK.. opinions and experiences wanted:

WHich did you use and what were the results...???

I'll need to do some other work eventually so this in not the final go-round for this engine... I dont think I need cometic gaskets for a stock engine anyway...

Thanks in advance...

Rob

SCE copper headgaskets with an o-ringed block seems to hold great (30+ psi noted)!! Ive heard mixed results with RJC's bulletproof HG kit. I think that it varies because of the user's installation (inadequate prep-work). Also, heard good things of fel-pro's loc wire HG's which require receiver grooves to be cut into the heads. I would do the best that you can in this area even if you dont plan on going overboard on boost as frequent HG replacement gets annoying!! Not to mention that the temptation to turn up the boost will be there!
Derek
P.S. Did I mention that I have a block for sale that has .030 over forged pistons, total seal rings, all four billet mains, ARP main studs and rod bolts, o-ringed, 218 comp cam. With ported big valve heads = $1500 or without heads = $1000. ;)

i really like jason's(rjc) new gasket's . we have them on tim's motor. much nicer than then useing 2 steel shim's per side.

Thanks for the input...

I will machine the heads while they are off, as well as do some home porting...

What kind of prep work is needed? (anything other than normal HG replacement practice?...)
