head gasket

wondering if i blew a head gasket my problems started way back when i first got the car stock fuel pump dying ou 20# at idle 38# wot the day i got it it ran like a raped ape then it started to idle rough any way fixed electrical and fuel system got scanmaster tune is perfect, 14.5# zero knock but now the car still idles rough and it pulls and flattens out at full boost. i also smell coolant when i let off at wot. comp. test shows all 140#. also oil and smoke spews from breathers under boost what do you guys think. when i got scanmaster i was getting 1.7 to 15 degrees of knock before tune

Well, if you have to replace coolant, which you didn't mention, this would indicate you have some head gasket seepage. If you do, you can take on the job of replacing them right away, but if you're not ready immediately, use a sealer like GM block tabs or a can of metallic block seal from the local parts store. As far as your blowby, use a heavier oil like 20W50. That will help out that problem.

already use 20/50 what about the car idleing like ^%$#. and the horse and torque loss it runs as good as a cavalier z24. no knock and a perfect tune on scan tool
