Anybody know a good mechanic in North New Jersey to swap a pair of heads in North New Jersey area that has reasonable rates?

Where in North NJ are you? Reasonable it all depends on what you think is reasonable. Stage auto is there, but I haven't dealt with them. Dynotech a little further south. You could just get out the wrenchs and do it alone. It's not hard I've done it twice, wish it was the hg's the second time (!BOOM!)

I am in Clifton NJ. I will pobably take it Rons Custom Auto. I was looking at it today and it doesn't look too difficult but I would hate to do a mistake. I will be porting the lower intake, new plenum, throttle body, injectors, turbo, and downpipe. I might as well get it all done at once and save some money in the process.

I don't know exactly where in north jersey you are, but Stage 1 Automotive would be more than happy to do this job. We are very expierienced and have done this job many times before. Any porting or welding work would also not be a problem. If you want to attemp the job yourself it is not difficult, just have to have the right tools.

dynotech in mannville is the way to go. your not going to get a better price. don't worry fred no longer owns or works at dynotech. it is now owned by eric. call for either eric or jimmy. they built my car and i am totally satisfied with there work. tell them jeff sent you.

DYNOTECH

My opinion only:
Fred Vetter, founder of DYNOTECH was great for his time and his work was great. His style was alittle different. I had my motor re-built and installed by Fred in 3 weeks, that's with some modifications and had no complaints. No other Buick shop could promise me and had it done in that time period.
I know Eric has taken the business over and continued to supply the Buick community with great work and spread it out to Corvettes, Impalas and Supercharged vehicles. I recently had my transmission upgraded to the Hi-Pro with billet parts. The service and work has been with "no drama."
