Header flange gasket?

Removed my left header off my car today to weld the cracks and noticed there is no gasket for the flange. Do I need to purchase a gasket for the flange before I reinstall the header or can it be reinstalled as is?

They normally don't have a gasket. As long as it's not warped and doesn't leak you should be ok. There are gaskets available if you need one.

Would it be ok to put some copper silicone on flange surface?
