header gaskets

does anybody use the copper gaskets?
whats is the perfered gasket of choice?

I use the composite gaskets / Felpro 1400 (I think that's the #).
Been on 2 years with no problems so far.

I never use any,always make sure both surfaces are flat,Ultra copper RTV and let it sit overnight,never a problem,Same with turbo mounting also

I use the SCE coppers from Summit. The 1400s are great but are hard to find locally in a pinch. The coppers are only a couple bucks more at $29.95 and reusable.

I run the 1400s as well and have had zero leaks. I just pulled the DS header and re-installed it with the same gasket and still have zero leaks.

Same here, 1400's all the way, with copper's and my ATR headers, I alway's had some small leak. The 1400's have been on/off twice, and still perfect!!!
Get them from Summit/Jegs if you cant find them local

1400's here. Get them from your local Autozone @ $18.99 pr. . I keep a couple extra sets in the trailer. If you run GN1's, you'll have to open them up a bit ( atleast I have to ). Brian
