Headliner clips?

Have managed to get the ft/back trim down. Clips were brittle and broke.
Cannot get the 2 side trim clips to "let go'.
AIRC, push the trim inward, and pull down on the inner edge? Doesn't budge.
NE1 have "the plan" to get this done?

Standing outside the car you have to pull towards you with two hands on the trim and the side closes to you will unhinge and trim should come off.

I guess my "push" should have been a pull.

I hope he has better luck than I did. Tried as described and the screw that holds the clip just pulled right out. Just tapped the sheet metal back in place and in business again.
