Putting a new headliner in my car and need to know what material to use. I am having it done by a local professional but the book he has to pick colours out of gives a couple samples that are close. It is a Sunbrite book if that helps. I am also in need of the plastic trim/moulding that goes around the inside of the astro roof opening. As always thanks for the opinions.

You maybe able to pick up a used astro roof trim from G bodys or one of the f/s threads listing hoarding parts for 20 plus year. Just pick the closest color to what you have but be sure to do the sun visors and astro roof slider with the same color so that everything matches up.

Thanks, I was just looking to see if one of the sample codes was better than the other. I am doing the sun visors and vent shade as well as the manual key plug. I would like to find a new trim moulding if possible. I already purchased a new OEM weather strip years ago.

Hi Kevin,
Happy New Year!

Daveismissing (on the other board) recently purchased & installed a replacement headliner that he got from NOS4GN.
I believe it was an ABS plastic backed head liner.

From what I recall, he gave the highest prasie about the high quality of Glenn's replacement headliner.
Why not go this route? Suggest you contact Dave (davelostmissing on this board) to find out more.

Thanks Claude and Dave. I want to keep the car original and the ABS units are not the same. I have a very good upholstery guy local and the fabric is available through his suppliers. I was just wondering if one of the samples was better than another. The next thing I can't find is the interior trim moulding around the astro roof that pinches the fabric into the window trim panel. Thanks again.

I've used this Med dark gray and I've liked it. 1810 I get my headliner material from a place called Miami corp. they use the same number too as the sunbrite. It i were you I would check your visors to see what color they are. If you haven't gotten done yet. Have them done. I've gotten visors which were almost dead on to the 1810 but I've gotten others that have been a much lighter grey like 1808.

Stefan thank you very much. The 1810 is one of the colours that was on my list and 2 others that were close. It is winter up here and there was no sun out so I was trying to match the colour under fluorescent lights and it was a pain. I am going to order the 1810 in the morning. I think there is only the 1810x available now, Again I really appreciate the help.

Kevin
