This past weekend my buddy Pat (slogn) worked on the engine and installed the ported and polished heads on. As a side project we cleaned up the engine, painted and beautified the wiring.
The 86/87 ATR bolts and studs I got for the engine didn't work. It became clear that they were a bit too long when we tried to install them.
I also just found out that apparently when the previous owner had rebuilt the engine the cylinders bored .30 over.
We left the cam stock at this point.
It's now tuning, tuning and more tuning.
Next goal for the car is to focus on getting it to hook up at the track. New back tires and possibly rims are coming next.
