what hearses can i put a buick 3.8l v6 turbo engine into?

I am wanting to do a hearse swap and wanted to know what you know....please share :)

It would be easier to swap it into an EFI motor hearse since the gas tank return lines are there already. Most have big V8's so fitting an LC2 into one shouldn't be that bad.

That will be a cool ride..... But even heavier than a Regal!!!!

Of note: there is a hybrid section over at turbobuicks.com with many different cool GN powered cars running from low 13's to 7's.

http://www.turbobuicks.com then click on hybrid section

Ya know? I did a wagon, and was looking for my next toy. I saw a Buick Hearse at a used car lot. It was a LeSabre. Lucky for my girlfriend, it was gone, or else I probably would have brought it home. That would make a great choice.
Does it really matter what kind would be the best? I mean do you really have a choice? Where I'm from, we don't have used hearse lots. But seriously, I would think your best bet would be a GM, more parts would be compatible, although Cadillac would require a little more work than that LeSabre that I saw. Good Luck. Not only can you post about your kills, but you can cart them away when you are done.

I used to have a 82 Lesabre Hearse and a 69 Cad Ambulance. Yeah I agree try to stick with a GM product. Any of the 77-90 RWD bodies/frame would be a bolt in because GM stuck 3.8-4.1 V-6s in them. The only thing I might recommend is altough this would be a killer combination(pun!), no matter how much horsepower and torque you build into the engine, these are heavy, heavy cars and the extra weight might cause you some problems so you need to take that into consideration or you might find yourself changing headgaskets frequently.

what might you suggest to avoid the head gasket problem? your using a 6 cylinder to haul ass and haul the dead...in a 7000lb car :) any ideas?

my friend wants to get a hearse... he wants me to put a 454 in it, then he is going to get my other friend to build a speaker box for it in the shape of a coffen... it is going to be cool, he wants to do this to one of the old caddy's

anyways

That's funny, just saw a black mid 80's Buick hearse on the road yesterday. There used to be a mid 80's Buick hearse painted purple that I saw at a few car shows here in CT that was all done up. Had a big Buick V-8 in it though, lots of chrome, etc. His license plate frame said "We put the FUN in Funeral".:D

Hey I kind of worded my post wrong. What I meant was my Hot Air Rivs weigh about 400 to 500 pounds more then my GN and every once in a while(like trying to kick rice boy ass from a roll on) the car will lean out and detonate unless I get out of it. I assume this condition is from the extra weight as I never had this problem with the HA Regals I have owned. Also heard of lean conditions from guys with add on turbo/gas engine truck tow rigs when towing thier race trailers. My 82 Hearse was powered by a 370 HP Buick 455 from a 70 Riviera and at 5200 pounds and my GN on a car trailer which was another 5000 pounds it would do the same although not as bad as the turbos.

yeah

I am looking into the "sand rail" "dune buggy" stuff right now :) not a hearse..i want soemthing more gas reliable. I got my Probe GT back and its gas milage isnt too easy on the pocket book compared to my daytona so I can only imagine 1/3 its gas milage. i have a casket sub box already built ;) built in woods last year with plans from rocker wood working supplies and some custom ideas in my head.

Yeah, the comp had a final meltdown :p but I am back w/o any messengers. email @ flamedblack66@hotmail.com if needed.
