Just machined up a heat sink plate to help w/ warp control when welding v band flanges.
This is made of 1/2" alum plate stock.
It is made to work with 2.5" tubing. [However, the dimensions could be altered to fit most any size tube.]
The tube can be slid thru the flange to give a "locator lip" that will help align/seal the 2 tubes. This groove is .155" deep. If you want no lip, flip the base plate over.
I'll be starting a custom LS system using the stock truck manifolds. Once I do, I'll post some temp readings.
