heater vacuum lines ?

Running between the heater controls and the eng. bay are 2 tubes.
1 is lite purple
1 is gray
Where do these go to in the eng. bay.
BTW this is an 85--don't know if 87 have the same color code.
I assume 1 is vacuum supply and the other goes to the heater valve but I don't know which goes where. Thanks.

You are right on part of that. One goes to the heater selector valve, the other goes to a vacuum "torpedo" just on the drivers side of the coilpack at the firewall. Here is my post I asked a very similar question: If the pics in the post stink, I will try to get some better ones tonight. I am at work, uh... busy working.

Teh first pic on my post shows the torpedo vac valve I am talking about. That is where one of the hard vac lines from the heater controls goes. The other goes directly to the heater selector valve on the heater lines. I don't remember what color goes where, I can check later tonight, and get pics if need be. HTH!?!?!?!?
