hello, new to forum and 200R4

I recently purchased a 200R4 for my pontiac trans am. Its CZF out of an 86 monte ss. Anyhow the seller couldn't (or maybe wouldn't) tell me if was anygood. After many pain staking hours of R & R the trannys I learned to hear a growling or whining noise comng from the tranny. Dang. I drove it around the block in fear that it may break down. When it shifted from 1st to second it sounded like a clunk noise. Not sure if that is normal. I was hoping I could get luck and have a hastle free swap. That was today. Im going to drive it a little further tomorrow and get it up to speed (50+). Maybe I should have gotten a Turbo 400? Anyway hello.
