Help asap!

the ignition module in my car is bad and i need a new one. its an 84 t type so the ignition module is outside the distributer. anybody know where i can find one? i just want a new or used ignition module that is outside the distibuter.

an 84 T Type doesn't have a distributor..

i dont have the car yet so i would not know. my mechanic just called and said it was the one thats not in the distributer so i didnt know. i just bought it and am having the guy fix it before i get it because it was messed up. do you know where i can get an ignition module though

Napa did sell them but you'd almost be better off getting the adapter from Caspers and convert to an 86-87 ignition module and coil pack, less expensive. There are other posts that can help you with this.

Seriously consider what Turbo6x2 said; convert to 86-87 system and call Casper's to find out what you need. There are also other options such as converting to a Type-II ignition system. (newer & parts are more plentiful - and much cheaper than $800)
Do a search on 'Type-II' and you'll find info on how to do it.
