Help ASAP!!!

I have the CR valve body, and BRF valve body side by side. The springs are identical, and everything that I can see is identical. How can I tell if the CR VB was modified to be a BRF valve body? What are the differences between the two VB's? How can I tell the differences? Please help, thank you!

The BRF is th one that you'll want to give to me It should have pink paint on it with 3rd and 4th press switches.

Okay, someone please shoot me or my car! After dropping the valve body for the 3rd time, we noticed that some of the valves were stuck from old tranny fluid build up (this vb was from a donor car and is brf). Everything cleaned out pretty nicely and the valves were moving freely, except the 1-2 valve. It moves in and out, but just not freely and not very loosely. Do I need to sand down the valve to make it fit better? How can I repair this? After putting the valve body back in the car again, the car still will not shift from 1-2 under part throttle, and if I give it a little gas, it will build boost but not shift. What should I do? I think the most gratifying thing to do would be to shoot the transmission with a shotgun.

DO NOT sand on the valve. Here's a trick for you to try. Make yourself some very fine lapping compound from Comet cleaner and ATF. Use that to lap the valve in and get it to move freely. Just make sure you completely and thoroughly clean both the valve and the entire valvebody after you get done.

Will sanding on the valve even with an extremely fine grit of sand paper cause a lot of harm? What will it cause?

put the valve in the hole and smack it with a screwdriver thru the worm track on the area where there are no lasnds.then on the end of the valve thru the bore it is inserted in with a punch to seat any sharp edges . clean out bore and retry.sanding with a 400 grit paper is acceptible as well as polishing gently on a wire wheel.
