In my factory GN stereo a bruce springsteen tape is Stuck!

I went out for a long ride & my hand accidently pushed the cassette in while the car was cold. now it is stuck.
It won't play, fast forward or pop out when the power is on.

it does make a ticking noise every second like it is trying to do something.

I also tried ejecting with power off. Any ideas on how to get it out so I can listen to the radio??

That ticking is from the belt slipping due to its wear and tear being 15+ years old, the wheels cant turn and it cannot "load" the heads into the play position, and you cant eject it.

Take it out, dismantle it, and remove it manually ..buy new belt reassemble.

Thanks will do... In the mean time just so I have tunes any idea what would fit in place untill i can dismantle to work on gettting it out?

any other 80s delco radio should plug right in. I like hte newer look of the 88 bonneville radios etc but they tend to have a certain defect where the right or left channel becomes partially or completely dead :/
