help....... car is slow what should i do??(long)??

my computer went down and i can't get my old post so i will ask this again another way......i took my car to the track and it only ran a low 15 at 92 mph.... should be alot faster with my mods what should i look to do first??? here are my mods.....
new motor .030 over J&E pistons, steel center caps, ported heads, bigger valves ,plenum spacer, kenne bell cam , kenne bell adj. FPR, walbro 340 hotwired,kenne ball ultimate chip and thrasher 92 chip, postons mass air pipe,k&n filter, kenne bell ram air,4:11 gears,coolant by-passed, rebuilt trans, stock converter, 2 1/2 exhaust spin tech mufflers, 160 stat, turbonetics to4H turbo stock injecters cleaned and flowed, stock intercooler, stock downpipe, scanmaster2,adj. wastegate,.............can anyone suggest something to look at or do thanks
 
well one thing I would do off the top of my head is change your stock injectors out for something larger

I dont really know the sizes and applications well enough to give you an estimate of which ones to buy, but I would start with 36lbs injectors

also I see you have the scan master
have you went to the www.gnttype.com site and checked the quick reference page to see if your numbers are matching from your scan master?

I could be wrong, but 4.11 gears seem very extreme to me


another thing I would do, take the plenum spacer out and get an RJC power plate in its place.

does your car have any knock retard when you ran the 1/4?

whats your boost and fuel pressure set too?

do you have positraction?

are the IAC and TPS adjusted accordingly?

#1: Your car will never be fast with 4.11 gears and street tires. It will spin off the line and run out of breath in the 1/4 unless you shift to OD. Beg, borrow and steal to get 3.42's put back in.

#2. Your combo needs injectors. Ported heads and a upgraded turbo with stock injectors is a recipe for disaster.

#3. Scan tool, scan tool, scan tool. Gather data, record it, share it. People can't help if they don't know what they are dealing with.

100 things can make a car slow, but maybe only 15 of them are making your car slow. You need to diagnose and solve those 15 things. That's where data comes in.

Tuning is EVER thing with are cars.

Seen guys w/ fuel system and exhaust upgrades and everything else stock run 12sec w/ tuning.

Summary>>>>>SCAN TOOL and INJECTORS.

Oh my god start with the down pipe and some of the things that make your engine breath better. Big neck intercooler. Then do your injectors chip and turbo.
 
Injectors and a chip before it blows up. I wouldnt even drive it right now because your combo is so mismatched
 
scan tool....

i have a scan master2 what number am i looking for and what do i need to do to to get to them.......here are the readings that i checked after my run....o2mv 644 0 knock BLM 134 temp 185 tps and iac were reset to standards fuel pressure was set at 49# line off and went to 60# at 18# boost i understand that the 4:11 will slow the car a little but i think i still should have run a 14sec. pass.... first thing is injecters then change the gears....when my budget allows....but let me know what and how to tune to the right numbers!
 
If your O2mv were in the low 600's like you said, that's asking for trouble! They should be in the mid to high 700's! You're running extremely lean and basically asking to pop a head gasket if not worse.

does that mean that i need more injecters?? or more fuel?? i have the walbro 340 hotwired still learning this car and tuning so any help would be apperciated..

Lance......as for the rocket scientist ... the guy that i bought the car from had more money then brains and he had a "hotrod" mechanic working on the car that had a 56 chevy with a big block and 4:56 gears he took him for a ride in the car and then said that he wanted those gears so he got the closest 4:11 i have fixed so many messed up things on the car(like installing a external fuel pump because the intank pump wasn't working...i found out that it was a bad relay) i have lost count but its going good except i guess for the gears and injecters im going to get injecters first then gears...now back to injecters agian i posted a while ago about them which should i get MSD 50lbs? or 009? 46lbs just $450 for injecters is steep but if i have to then i do
 
Yea, you are way lean. The car will run great when you get the right amount of fuel to it. I have some 3.42's for $75 and there are some gears in the For Sale section for $30. Just read as much as you can stand off of the GNTTYPE page.
 
gears....

craig...i'm ordering injecters 50lbr's from racetronics tomorrow now i need to find a chip!! about the gears that you have how many miles do they have on them... what did they come out of???
 
injecters....

i have a chance to get 009 and a chip for a low price with low miles on them should i jump on it??
