I'm in the southwest area (rainbow and 215). As NOVADERRICK asked, what problem do you have?

car will not stay started at first it would stay running but when i put it would cut off but now it has a bad miss and if it starts i have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running , i have already replaced the coilpak ,tps,ecm,wires,plugs,still the same thing its the only car a have right now please help

I would check cam sensor first......plus crank sensor......

Even though you are in Vegas, there is a lot of help here regardless of where you are at so don't panic. My thought is if it starts and wont keep running, check the iac valven. Might not be the problem, but a place to start. Just have patience and all will work out.

Iac valve, that is. Damn touchy screen on my phone.

where is the iac valve on the car i had a scanmaster be someone broke in my car and stole in is there another way to check codes with out a scan tool and as for the car the motor has been redone 30 over small cam bigger turbo 87 ecm and coil, lt1 maf and translator plus,alky but they stole the control to it when they took the scanmaster,62mm throttle body thats all a can think of i really need help with this its the only car i have right

and another thing when i put the car in gear it has no throttle at all and the exhaust fumes are really strong

Have you found help?? It has ben hard 4 me 2 find any good help in vegas I've ben ben looking 4 almost 2 years and thanks 2 That I have learned a lot about the hot air I also have driect scan so if you don't figure it out I will help u do some trouble shooting .

AND IF YOU DID FIND SOME GOOD HELP THEIR ARE SOME OF US HOTAIR GUYS IN VEGAS THAT NEED SOME HELP AND WORK

Maybe we should all get 2gether and share in our hot air enjoyment and frustrations. I've been here 8 months w/o any luck finding a tr guru. Maybe a once a month troubleshooting "intervention" type meeting....i'll bring the beer ;-)

What ECM did you use? did you reset the tps properly- hard to do with out a scanmaster? Just curious...

i am also here in vegas while i dont have a lot of experience i do have a copy of the gm service manual with all the trouble shooting flow charts. let me see if i can get it scanned to a file and have it available like some others have done. i also have the chiltons for the 84 regal. bob

no i have not set the tps but i put a volt meter on it to see if it was working and about the part not having any throttle when i put it in gear could that be fuel

it's easy to do without a scanmaster.. there is a whole procedure for it.

before throwing any money at it, i'd find a cheap beater car that you can use as a daily driver. these are horrible cars to use as a daily driver for someone that doesn't have a lot of experience in troubleshooting and repairing them.
but then again, nothing will cause you to learn more about how to troubleshoot and fix something than knowing that you absolutely have to have it fixed..
