This started early last week and it is the only website I see this on.
This happens EVERY TIME I get into a forum. What are my options?

Explorer . . . 8
I think I figured it out. I was running in "compatibility view" mode. o_O

Thanks Dave! It worked. . .

I think he just turned it off. There's a little icon up near the refresh icon that turns compatability on or off. It's also under tools.

He was right. I turned it off and everything seems to be working fine now.:)

you could go one extra step and stop using IE totally.. been using Firefox since version 1.5 or so, and i never have problems like that..

Firefox seemed to have it's own little set of issues. I ran all three browsers on my system for several months to compare them. Firefox was among the worst especially when it came to running videos.

Finally ended up with IE 9 It seems to be the smoothest and most trouble free of the bunch.

Agreed. I like alternatives to Microsoft as much as anybody but IE9 does work the best overall and most sites are designed for it. It even plays youtube better than google chrome; which I didn't think would be the case.

this is exactly opposite of my experiences- IE bogs my computer down and doesn't run anything worth a crap, but Firefox runs fast and everything works perfect as long as the proper plugin is installed. it's the same at work- my employer doesn't really have an IT department that sets things up so it's up to the employees to install and set up the programs- and none of us are exactly computer geniuses so EVERYTHING is running in the background dragging them down... i put Firefox on the 2 computers that i work with because IE was nothing but frustration and it works perfectly and allows me to kill the night with streaming radio, facebook, youtube, and whatever sites i want to look at while the cnc mill does it's thing on hunks of metal to make them into parts..

plug in's ??? IE doesn't require plug ins!! And those of us that are not computer literate should not have to worry about such things. My IE9 is working flawlessly and I'll stick with it!

Firefox tells you when it needs a plug in or when one needs to be upgraded- it's a simple click on a box- you only get the stuff you need and use, unlike IE which comes bloated with everything to try to keep everyone happy, which is what causes it to be slow.

Not sure why it would be so slow for you. It's by far the fastest of the 3 I tried. Of course I'm talking IE9. Not sure what version you were using.
