I just got a G-BodyParts front mount, and it didn't come with any instructions. It came with 2 spacers, 2 bolts, and 2 flat brackets. It has 4 threaded holes in the top of it. I know this is a long shot, but I would like to get this thing stuck in this weekend. I feel stupid sitting in front of the car looking at the thing- but I can't figure out where they were going with this thing. Any help? Thanks!

Not sure what you got since I think Brian at Gbodyparts offers two different front mounts, but this info may help.

The two bolts likely go thru the header panel and screw into the bungs on the top of the intercooler. See picture below of my Cotton's front mount. The two chrome acorn nuts in the picture are likely where your bolts will go.

See the second picture...looking from the front of the car at where those bolts go thru the header panel. Notice the washer stacks on the bolts (acturally mine are studs, but same difference). I assume these are the spacers you're talking about (just a guess). Use them to raise or lower your intercooler for proper positioning and leveling.

Look at the bottom of the installed intercooler in the third picture. There's a bolt thru a flange that attaches the intercooler to the radiator support. Maybe your two flat brackets are supposed to be used in this manner somehow.

Then again, maybe I'm all wet on this and your best bet will be to hope someone who's already installed this intercooler will chime in our contact Brian Weavy himself for help.

Good luck.

P.S. If it wasn't already obvious, removing the front bumper and grill make the installation much easier.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here is a picture so you can feel my pain. This unit has 4 threaded holes, that are 20" apart. Since it only came with 2 bolts, I would assume that there are some existing bolts to use somewhere. Am I thinking too hard on this? Just drill some holes, find a couple of bolts and throw it in there?

Do the threaded bungs on the end of top ends of the intercooler line up with any holes already in the header panel? Maybe there's two bungs per side to give you a depth option when hanging the intercooler.

Not sure about the spacers or brackets. I think you should try contacting BWeavy for the best guidance.

These pictures on gbodyparts.com are not helpful I guess assuming this is your intercooler GBodyParts.com Online

I don't want to steer you wrong, so maybe I should shut up now,:D

Just so we all can sleep tonight, I talked with GBodyParts today. What you see in the picture is the wrong hardware. It just got tossed in the wrong box- and I should only use two of the four threaded mounting holes in the top of the intercooler. In other words: Just like Stickybones told me to! Thanks for the views.

I was going to say...Brian is the man when it comes to customer service...I knew he'd help you out. Looks like a nice unit.

Glad you had it figured out. When you described what you had it didn't make sense.I looked at your pic & that isn't anything for our intercoolers.Stock or front mount. Not excatly sure what it is. I guess some one in CA. was having a bad day.We put all the hardware in for the stock locations & they supply for the front mount.
