Hi all,

I want to get a set of new plug wires for my 85 GN since I think the onces on their are 10+ years old. I see a bunch of plug wires that say they fit 84-87 Grand Nationals. Are they made to fit both or do they just not know what they are talking about. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg either. :D I was looking at the MSD helicore wires for $40 at summit. Are these any good? Can anyone recommend any wires that can be picked up local? (Autozone, Advanced, Napa).

Thanks,

Rob

Ive got the reproduction wires from Kirban that were modeled after an original set so they are the same size and style as the originals. So far they have worked really good and I think they were only like $50.

You may want to take a look at Magnecore wires but they're not sold at local parts stores. They're high quality plug wires and better than stock. I bought a set for my '84. (which should also fit your '85) Do an internet search on 'magnecore' and check out their website. Lots of good info.

But any wire with a spiral-wound metal conductor and high-temp silicone insulation should work well. (as long as they fit your hot-air)

Good luck.
