help me w/lockup switch wiring

to run a manual lockup switch do i run a wire from the upper left terminal on the ALDL connector to one terminal on the switch and then a wire from the other switch terminal to the upper right terminal on the ALDL connector? also, when i race i will flip the switch so it locks in 2nd so do i just leave it in D or put it in OD to race? dome say put it in D and some say leave it in OD.

You're correct on your TCC switch. That'll work although it's probably best to wait until the 2-3 shift to lock the converter. The majority of us simply leave the transmission in OD and let 'er rip!
