Help!! NO BOOST!!

I just had my new GN shipped to me and on my first test drive The car started to make boost then sputtered once and stopped making boost. It wont boost at all now. Car sems to run fine but NO BOOST at all.

The car has a TE44 and a Turbonetics Delta waste gate.

What should shoud I check first? Please help a scared new owner.

I wouldnt worry yet, you should be happy the previous owner was smart enough to disconnect the wastegate controller so no one could decide to take your car for a joy ride

Contact the previous owner and he will tell you what he did

I an unfamiliar with the Deltagate or I would help you out
 
I would check the hoses from the turbo to the intercooler and the intercooler to throttle body. Also check the hoses from the wastegate solenoid(little sensor on the ps valve cover) to the turbo and wastegate. Someone else can probably shed more light on this, but these are simple things to start with. HTH!!:D
 
I called the previous woner and he is out of town so I checked a few things.

There are NO hoses going to the wastegate control solenoid and the waste gate. So guess you guys were right he unhooked them for transit.

there is a vacuum hose that is hooked to the tubo and the wastegate with a t fiiting that looks like it should go to the solenoid? But there is no vacuum supply to the solenoid. can anyone help me out with where the hoses should go?

My guess would be that the solenoid probably isn't being used in this application anyway because it's an external wastegate.
 
OK New INFO

I spoke to the past owner and he did remove the hoses. And the solenoid is not used in this appication. He also has a remote valve to adjust boost. He told me what to hook up and I checked with ttype.org and see that its hooked up correctly now but STILL NO BOOST!! It is driving me nuts! Now that the hoses are right could there be a problem with the Deltagate?

Please help. I apprecaite all the responses keep them coming.

Maybe if you took a picture of the engine bay, we could see whats wrong(sounds like a simple problem).
 
JUST WHAT I DID NOT WANT!!!

I was sure I had all the lines correct so i wanted to take the MAF pipe of and look at the compressor side of the turbo.

WELL SHE'S TOAST!!

The former owner just had the car a at shop put on the new header and must have messed with the turbo. The nut on the shaft holding the compressor wheel on backed off and the compressor wheel hit the housing and toreit wheel up pretty bad.:( What a Bummer!!

Ok guys what Turbo should I use now.

Joe Lubrant Street and race chips
Poston Headers

2 Bosch Pumps
Ported heads, stock size valves
Plenum spacer

Future mods

3" MAF
Big Mouth Cold Air

I was just looking at the convertor and all I can see is that is looks like a 9.5" unit but has D1 on it. What is it?

Please help a new owenr that thought today was going to be fun, too bad it was a nightmare.

Ouchh!!!:( :( I would go back with the TE44. Thats just me though. Sorry to hear that.
 
Mechanic messed with the turbo?

Something doesnt sound right there. One more conversation with the previous owner may be warranted.

As fas as turbo you can go with a 44, which would be awesome on the street with that combo, but it may be a little small up top. I would say a TA62 or as was mentioned before a TE54 would be fun on top:cool:
