Help ? on stock oil shields

Do i have to re-use the stock oil shields on the stock valve springs, I'm installing new comp 980 valve springs. There a bitch to get under the new springs.Thanks

Then i won't loose any top end rpm with this set up. that's some of my problem right now.

If you are changing the stock valve springs with the stock cam. Thje 980's dont need the cups.

Not saure on teh top end thing. It it was indeed VS worn out thenthese will be fine. Just be sure to use a zinc additive... ZDDPlus, etc
