Just replaced my Powermaster system tonight. Things went smooth as can be from someone who has never done this before. Took the car for a spin, get back, pop the hood and low and behold the front brake line going to the master cylinder is leaking... Tightened it up alot and that made no difference...

My question is, can I use teflon tape to try and stop the leak or will the brake fluid eat away at it? I just dont want to replace the entire brake line and find out that it is the Powermaster threads that are causing the leak.

Does anyone have a creative solution to my latest problem?

Do any vendors make a reproduction of this line in case I have no choice but to buy a new one?

Come on guys I'm at my wits end with trying to get this car back up to snuff...

Any help is greatly appreciated, THANKS!!!

You may have gotten a rebuilt unit with a damaged seat in the body[where the brake line flare seats].
This is a safety issue[yours and the public],and as much as I hate to say it,Teflon will NOT seal that connection in any way.The seal is made by the flare.
I would pop the line out and have a look at the seat and line flare.
One of those two is damaged from the sounds of it.
Hang tough,you'll sort it out.
Better safe...........:)
