I just switched back to a powermaster on my GN...The first week the car was stopping awesome. Then one day i went to brake and the light came on and the car wouldnt stop..luckily i wasnt in traffic...I turned off the car and started it up again and the light was still on with no brakes...I waited 30 minutes started it again and the light was off and i was able to drive it half way home when the brakes failed again...I waited for the car too cool off some again and the brakes worked after 30 minutes...they failed again once i got home in my driveway...I'm guessing this is some sort of electrical problem because i already replaced the motor and i'm having the same problem. What could this be?? The brake lights also stay on when the car is off..Please help I need brakes.

Did you check the brake fuse this happened to me once i ended up replacing my PM with a rebuild and it turned out it was the stinking fuse.:o

How is the pump performing ? By that I mean, pull into your nice quiet garage, open the hood, turn the key to "on". Did the pump run? how long?, if it stopped, press the brake pedal and release. Did the pump run? how long? If the pump runs for a short period of time (less than 15 seconds) and shuts off, then do the brake pedal push/release thing about 6 more times, with at least 30 seconds in between each apply. Does the pump run every time? how long?

I was about to perform daves check when i noticed a brake wire was crimped between the PM and the wall...I loosed the unit and the wire was completely smashed...I cut it and put terminals on it and connected it back together...i took the car for a spin...so far so good, brakes perfectly...I am pretty sure that was the problem. Thanks alot for all your help.:D ... I am going to perform daves check later on when it's actually quiet...I am working on this at my dads mechanic shop and its too loud here to listen to the pump...I'll let you guys know...
