Help with backspace question

I installed 15x8 weld wheels w/3.5" bs. They seem like they stick out pretty far w/ 275x50 dr. Can I get away with 4.5" bs? It looks like I have about 1" or slightly more clearance btw frame and tire at the closest point.
What do ya think?

Paul, are they ProStars? I tried 4" b.s. first, with the same size drag radial that you have, and the tire rubbed the frame. I probably could have used some spacers, but didn't. I went with 3.5" and am going to have to roll the fender well lip so they will clear. I was told that Weld ProStars only come in 3.5" and 4" B.S.

I run a 15x8 4" bs with a 275 60 15 and it is about 5/16 to the frame, no contact with lip.

And a 28X10 slick on the same size rim with some gm spacers that are about 3/16 thick.

4.5 will rub the frame.

No Prostars, they are the draglites. I see they offer these in a 4.5 bs. Thanks
