Help with getting exhaust housing off Turbo!

Can someone give me the correct procedure to get the exhaust housing off of the turbo without using a hammer. It is loose and spins freely but still won't pull off. Thanks

I've only taken one housing off...and that was from a brand new turbo but it did simply pull off once it was loose.

Why not give your favorite turbo builder a call....I'm like you (as I get older) and want to make sure I'm doing it right instead of breaking it and thinking, "Damn, I shoulda found out first."

Read step 3 and 4 under disassembly. That is how I got mine off with no problems.

like the link rastaz posted, I just put a spacer between the center section and the bolt head and loosened the bolt with an open end wrench. As the bolt came out, it "jacked" the housing off the center section.
