Hi guys, need some suggestions. Just had my GN pulled in on the hook as it went dead on the freeway! Was accelerating on to the passing lane in third, heard a soft pop, then no power, coasted to a stop & engine would crank fine but wouldn't start. Service engine soon light on, but no codes showing. Has no spark or injector pulse. Fuel pressure fine & plenty of gas. Ant ideas appreciated
 
dam that sound fimuliar had that happen to me twice all ready. did the pop sound like an intercooler blowing off followed by a high pitched wine like the little rivit that holds the bell part of your cam sencer had snaped off and caused the bell thingy to spin around and make that buzzing sound right after it poped and fouled up your plugs and caused your timing to be so far off that it backfires if it even trys to run.
pull off the cap to your cam sencer and check if the pin is still there ya will need a long phillips screwdriver for the cap and a 14 mm socket with an extention to pull the scencor out.
if this happens again then your car is pushing too much HP and you need to pin the bell onto the sencer.
 
Check your crank sensor just behind the harmonic balancer. The bracket might of just came loose or it broke.
