I'm just about to drop in a series ii 3800 drivetrain into my 85 gn. (don't ask why i'm doing it quite yet... ;9).

The big problem that I forsee is the dash cluster in the GN. The newer system basically feed the gauges via ALDL data. Somehow I doubt the 85 system was as detailed. Now, does anyone know anyone who's done a conversion to a newer engine system and has gotten by this hurdle? Know anyone I should ask about this? Know where I can find technical details on the 85 digital dash cluster?

Any hints, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
