SICK!!!!!!!!!!!
Why people get parted from thier money is beyond me...

Don't get me wrong Cudas look the balls.
Back In the day (early to mid 70's) here in new england they only lasted 4 or 5 years before they would fall apart.

The best part is my Low buck lil tb6 regal limited can probably take this beast in the 1/4 mile..

A guy at my work has a cuda convertible that he's restoring. He got it for 5k (it NEEDS work) like 9 years ago and now he has people offering him 25 just for the shell. He's been a cuda guy his whole life so he'll be putting in the time and building himself a nice convertible (possibly to retire on).

People are stupid.

I stopped driving my '71 convertible when I bought an '86 Mustang GT convertible. That mustang was twice the car the 'cuda was. Rode, handled and drove better, had power everything and air and would run right with the 340 in accelleration.

you can pick up an '86 mustang for what, $4000?

When the new Challenger comes out, it should make the originals worthless, but it will probably make them worth more

People are stupid.

i wanna know about this car

the one in the background is waiting to blow the hemi's doors off as we speak

in January 1985, Mark Headrick (now the owner of Goodmark Industries) had the Mopar nationals show winning Hemicuda for sale that was similar to this one but had dual rubber bumpers and a red shaker.

Mopar 4 speeds "suck" (his words) so it was for sale for $12,500. I needed something to drive, so I turned him down and bought his '71 340 convertible instead for $7500.

I repeat: people are stupid.

Yeah, but...

Yeah, Hemi's are cool, but a pretty average GN would school even a strong running 426.

That still cracks me up - I just can't look at old school musclecars the same way anymore.

$375k? You can keep it - I'll keep driving my basically stock, low buck, 170k mile GN, running 12's and getting 22 MPG.

Let some cheese eating yuppie freak buy that Hemi and get his kicks waxing it in the garage (I mean the car)

:D

That's Cool

Nuthin old school about that! I'm sure that took some serious cubic dollars.

Toss a Holley double pumper on there and loose the hairdryers - then you're talking old school.

AS far as Cuda's go,that thing is pretty boring looking ,have seen many nice ones on ebay for cheaper, about $300k cheaper..

It's now a rich man's sport. Cars are big buisiness for the rich people. I just hope it ends soon and they find something else to raise the prices on.

It's been that way forever. When I was buying mopars in the 80's mustang and shelby snobs were telling me how much their "K-Code" 2+2's were worth and how my 'Cudas weren't worth sh!t.

Mopars used to be a staple of the toothless redneck. Almost all of the big dollar Hemi's trading hands a Barrett Jackson were once owned by a guy wearing a wife beater and sporting a mullet.

Modern Cars like 5.0's and GN's will get there turn. Since they are better in almost every respect from 95% of all classic muscle cars, the fact that you can't afford a '69 350 camaro or 383 challenger shouldn't make you too sad.

If you crave "the look" save your pennies for the new ones. You will be glad you did.

I really hope they dont catch on to our cars. I want to be able to enjoy this hobby for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, the high dollar trading of these cars wont make it feasible for most of us to be able to buy used valve covers let alone a whole car.

It is only a matter of time. The only thing that has kept the prices of our cars low so far is the vast quantity of zero mile 1987's, when one would sell for a good price, 10 would come out of the woodwork.

That can't happen forever.

This is why mopars skyrocketed. The Creampuffs were all snatched up and the value of rustbuckets became stupid high.

Turbo regals were too good to stay cheap forever. Look at the value of wheezemobiles like bandit transam's. A friend of mine just sold a 70K mile '76 T/A for $24K. He collects muscle cars and was saying how great the '76 TA felt compared to the "classic" muscle cars he'd owned.

I'm pretty sure he'd wet his pants if he drove my '86 GN.

I bet, the sad thing is that I sold my low mileage cars so I can have my modified one! I just sold my 20K mileage car that still had original tires, spark plugs, plug wires, valve stem caps, headlights, the whole nine yards. That car sat in a museum of a collector until 2002. I just couldnt see having a car like that just stashed away! I cant afford to have something like that!! Unfortunately our modified cars aren't going to be half as valuable but they sure are a blast to drive!!
