Tonight my car hesitates worse with more bucking and went under less than 1pound of boost and car back fired. What next. Can anyone help with this one.

are all air inlet pipes sealed good? my inlet pipe blew off and i could get no boost and and only go 35 mph.

I would have to check the spark plugs.

I also Checked the pipes they appear to be on good and tight. I had a IC hose blow off once, and this is not the same.

What do you guys think about the coil pack and module. If those have been effected by heat soak, would faulty coil pack and module do this?

The sound was a loud pop. I think it was under the hood. It was not an IC hose that came off.

my car pops under the hood once in a while usually while turning left:confused: i know my injectors are bad and my fuel pump is too and fuel pressure is low. also it idles rough sometimes but when i take 3 plug wires off its smooth as glass. i would definately look into fuel system/pressure and ignition first.

uuhhhhh.....got some problems???:D

Any more suggestions. Or do you think I am in the right direction in testing the coil pack and ignition module. I will also be purchasing some new spark plugs and wires. Which spark plugs and gap should I use for an Alky car in the low 12/high 11s. Also where/whom should I get the plug wires from and what make and size. Thanx.

Could possibly be a lean condition. Have you checked the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it has not blown off.

wicked6 i see youre in the st. pete area. do you ever go to the ronnie setser car show in Tampa on Saturday nites? what about test n tune at bradenton motorsports park, ever go there?

The vacuum line on the FPR is ok. I checked that.

turbo buicks-> I have gone to th Setzer car show once and I went to BMP this past saturday. Sometimes I go to the thur TNT, but only if I have the time. Since work and the wife control most of it.

cool. ive only been to BMP twice. when i go i usually talk to all the GN guys so i might see you up there sometime:)

Double check the MAF and I'd go ahead & look at the contacts at the ignition module / coil pack interface.

Any scan tool data or ECM codes?

resolved

Yesterday, with the help of Red Regal T, I resolved the hesitation problem. It was the coil pack and ignigiton module. Bought a good working one from Red Regal T and know there are no hesitation problems.

When we first tested the CP and IGN mod the middle showed some sign of skipping. I also noticed that at 3000k+ and after the engine would be fully warmed the hesitation would start. After testing the new CP and IGN mod we tested the old one again and it worked perfectly. WTF.

I concluded that after it would absorb the heat from under the hood the problem would present itself. So if the test does not show any signs of fault. Warm the car up and take for a drive and test again, it made need some warming up to surface.

Tested with Caspers CCCI ign tester.

Thanks goes out to Red Regal T.
