Hey, Lou.

I pulled my DS header tonight and will stop by your shop tomorrow morning on my way to work to drop it off. I'll probably come by at around 7:15-7:30. Will you be there. If not, is there a safe place for my to drop it so you get it when you come in. I was thinking about just leaving it outside your roll up door or something. Anyone think this is a bad idea?

This bugger is good and cracked where the #3 and #5 join, but it also appears to have some smaller cracks up higher on the #5 tube. Oh...I also broke one of the cross pipe bolts off. It was seized so I got a bigger wrench and SNAP!!!! Will you be able to get the remains out of the header nut?

Thanks!

LOL
Thanks for the kind advice. I'll keep my day job for sure...mostly cuz it pays good and I get to travel all over the world....but also cuz it means I don't have to fiddle with jack stands all day. I was positioning my jack stands last night while setting up and I accidently hit the lever that collapses it, well aside from the loud noise, I also had my thumb is just the right spot for that blippin' thing to give it a nasty pinch. Within seconds I had a nice blood blister, and tears in my eyes, to remind me not to play with moving parts...

So choking poultry is out of the question.

Ya know....I've said it before and I'll say it again....Lou is a great guy. I don't care what you all have told me about him being mean and expensive.:(

He took time out of has day and fixed my header up real nice for a fair price....didn't even charge me for the extra time and all the drill bits he dulled up or broke trying to get that seized bolt shaft out of the flange.

Hey Lou...I meant to ask while I was there....That GN parked outside looked fast sitting still...
How much you want to do that to mine?

Oh...and a guy I work with says he knows you from way back...he told me you were mean and nasty too. I told him to take it back or I'd have to hurt him.

He's a crazy old ex-Navy guy.
His name is Jim Montey.

That nasty looking GN is Bob Lilligards TT V/8 regal widow maker. I have many hundreds of hours invested in that project. It's all set to run at Bakersfield Sunday. It should run well into the 7's if he can keep his foot in it. Thanks for the kind words,Good luck with the manifold & don't hurt yourself installing it.

Tell Bob his car is my idol.
Nice work!

There is a strong likelyhood that I'll come out of the installation job with a welt or bleeding from something.....it's a given.

Usually when I'm on my garage floor under one of my cars, I'll loose my grip on a box wrench or ratchet and the cold steel tool will fall a couple feet straight down and bounce off my ample fore head.

The best one so far was when I was installing my Moser in my Camaro a couple years back. I hung the box wrench I was using off a leaf spring shackle bolt while I reached for my ratchet. As I turned my head and looked back up, it slipped off and did a free fall straight down. The open end got me on my brow and square between the eyes. That thing must have gained 10 lbs as it fell.

I came out from under the car crying like a five year old who just droppe dhis ice cream, feeling like my skull was split open, and looking like a Hindu with that bloddy welt forming on my brow between my eye's. HAd to walk around like that for several days.
Oh the fun my wife had with that one.....kept calling me Gupty:rolleyes:

Wells! get your mind out of the gutter.
What mind, noda, oops, my bad, sorry, that was Yoda. Lou, you remind me of the great Yoda in the Star Wars series. Of course, he had a little more hair. Just kidding, Lou, hair only supports the barber's getting rich anyway.

Coming to your shop soon for my free "feel sorry for old folks" paint job, Lou. Seriously, Lou, I do hair transplants on the side. My poor old cat is going to his happy hunting grounds one of these days. I could outfit you with an orange colored "fur" piece very inexpensively.

You really don't expect anybody to take me for free, do you? Even the "grandma" types won't do that for free.
