Vacuum block gasket part number 25536028
Check valve part number 14047619
Plenum gasket part number 24502089
Check valve are the HD ones, that supercede the original part number. Much meatier.
The gasket trick, go to discount autoparts and buy a sheet of gasket material, cut a square piece 1 1/2 x 3 inches. Coat it with some gasket dressing(aka Hylomar) and mount it between the vacuum block and the TB. the two screws on the top, push them through the gasket, this will shut off all the vacuum sources from the motor. If your car is air tight, the blms should drop way below 128 to about 118-120. Once you connect the PCV and other lines, it will go to 128 assumming those lines are air tight as well.
Check valves only let air in one direction, so you dont apply boost to your EGR selenoid, AC system, charcoal cannister valve, etc... Thats why there is no check valve on your fuel pressure regulator or MAP sensor... or boost guage
If you have a bad check valve, more than likely you have damaged what ever is on the other side of the check valve. the EGR solenoid diaphram will hold vacuum if you plug the hole behind the filter, and the charcoal cannister valve will hold vacuum as well. If it/they dont..replace them. EGR will hold vacuum as well, unless its punctured.
lastly.. a NEW AC Delco PCV valve is like 4 bucks...umm ahh..change it and be done with it. Actually buy a couple and change them once/twice a year.
BTW, I just checked, I have 4 brand new check valves, 3 VB gaskets, and like 6 plenum gaskets..I'm hoarding them..never know when GM will say..sorry..theyre on Back Order
Mity-Vac is you best friend for testing hoses and solenoids.
BLM's are way over rated
