hi, my name is andrew and i love buicks.

and i have a commdore with a series 1 buick V6 (LN3 i think u call them)
and another 1 with an ecotec V6 (L37.

but i am lookin at buying a GNX, but they are a little rare in australia.:(
so its been a hard long search.

i thought i might post up a pic or 2 of my buick powered commodore.

this is my series 1 V6 with a custom made twin throlte body manifold. no where near as cool as some of the stuff you guys have in USA, but very different in australia

im fairly annoyed that holden didnt use a turbo motor to put in the car, as the model before it came with a factory opition turbo motor.

Welcome.

It's always cool to see what other people are doing with their cars. Where in Oz do you live? I met my wife 21 years ago on the North Shore of Sydney.

Thanks for sharing.

Maybe we can swap V6 parts for VB?:D

I miss that stuff.

I didn't know they were putting Buick engines in Commodores. You should throw a turbo on there so you can keep up with the new Falcons. ;)

they started putting buick V6's in when the VN came out in 88.
and ever sence, and then in 95 the stated putting the ecotec's in (L37).

and our newest ones use a alloytec with some using the SIDI alloytec's.

i think the last 2 are GM motors.

its only really been in the last few years that poeple have have started putting turbo's in the motors of here, and they fly with boost.

ive heard of some V6's running running up wards to 20lbs of boost on a stock motor with well over 100 000 miles.

neat looking ride. forget the gnx and make your own. buy an lc2 and drop it in there.
