Hello My name is Elias and I have been a fan of grand nationals for some time, I came up on an 85 grand national for sale and was wondering of the pros and cons of that year, any help will be appreciated thanks alot.

pros are that they are less expensive. the cons are that they are hot air and takes alot of more money than a 86/87 to upgrade and go fast

Or an older one that has already been converted to intercooled. Theres a bunch of them around the Chicago area. Don't be in a hurry to buy, take ur time.

I would stay away from the 85-85 cars. How fast do you want to go? 11's 12's 13's

I am looking to have a reasonably fast car i guess 13s would be nice but mainly i want something that is decently reliable, i understand that with any car with boost problems will occur, I just want an all around vehicle.

I haven't really owned a really fast car due to $$$ but i have been around many 12 to 13 and driven them, but now that I have some funds for it i am just trying to find something to start on, i am in no big hurry i was mainly wondering if i came up on a worthwhile vehicle. Thanks for the help
