Can anyone tell me what's involved in removing the exhaust hsg on a turbo so I can have it prepped and coated with a high temp coating?

I have a Precision DBB 5857 and not sure if this is something easy that I could do?

thx.

not much to do.... once the turbo is off.... grab a wrench and carefully unbolt the exhaust hsg... alternate bolts so that you go a little at a time and eveny remove the hsg so you dont do any damage to the exhaust wheel....

once you start you will see how simple it is

By completely, I'm referring to the turbo not just the exhaust housing.
As for why, I find it would be included in the gross cost for the process..
so why not just throw it in the mix, unless the added shipping would jump into the budget.

Whatever you do, only have the outside coated. The turbine to housing clearances are tightly controlled and any coating can cause a seizure.
