High idle when cold

OK guys, need some advice: If I let her sit for a few days, she idles at 2000-2200 rpm on startup and while I drive it for several miles. Once I shut if off to go into a store, she starts and idles fine. Also, after I park her for a few hours, she starts and idles fine (850 rpm)
So, is she running in open loop on startup if I let her sit for a few days? And if so, why? the battery is not dead since she starts right up, so I assume that the computer has not had a power interuption...

OK, I replaced the IAC thursday night but its been too wet to take her out. Yeah, Im one of those guys. Update to follow

Yup new IAC did the trick. Old one was only a year old. So it was replaced under warranty. Thanks for the advice.
