I've recently started down this upgrade path that has of course snowballed into a ton of other things. Picked up a used turbo. It has a 4" inlet so I had to change my cold air kit (Mark Hueffman makes some really nice stuff, BTW). The 4" kit interferes with the IAC so I got an angle boss (nice piece, too, from John's Performance). Now the up-pipe won't clear the 4" turbo inlet so I got a Precision housing, which sits 5/8" higher than stock (I didn't want a spacer because with a power plate and a spacer there's a lot of gaskets).

So the question is: if you have a taller plenum, how do the vacuum lines reach the vacuum block? Seems to me that there's not much give there.

TIA,
Jim

If you look under the TB, you'll see a bolt holding the metal vacuum lines down to the intake manifold. Take the bolt out, this will allow the lines plenty of movement. I have a similar setup, no problems here.

I have the PTE doghouse, the PP and the Angle Boss as well, as I had problems clearing my Tomka cold air kit.

The front vacuum harness bolts to the lower intake using a M8 x 1.25 x 12 bolt. I used an aluminum spacer from McMaster Carr and a longer (obviously metric) bolt there. Don't overtighten the bolt, it's only holding the harness down.

Looks great! Works great! (Or you can leave the harness floating in outerspace, but not my style.)

:)
