i've heard that one a long time ago by some show on discovery channel. the scarry thing is i have reason to believe they are right.

they said in 2000 a huge tital wave would hit new york city. obviously that didn't happen but remember something huge happening in new york city in 2000 (or was 9/11 2001?) either way that kinda gives some validity to their claims.

the predicton that i specifically remember was december 23rd 2012 i believe everything as we know it was going to go crazy. the show basically portraied a mechanical revolution, waffel ovens jumping on people, computers electricuting people, light bulbs blowing up. basically all hell breaking loose.

i hope its not true but you can bet i'm going to live that entire year like its my last.

I remember a magazine cover in 1980 had a pic of water flooding New York City with the buildings sticking up thru in the Year 2000.

Cause? Global Warming. The Poles will Melt.

Scared the Crap out of Me. Has always Stuck Out in my Mind.

Nostradamus Predications end in 2012. I heard the Last Day is 12/12/12.

I'm gonna sit in my front lawn with a Big Red X on my Chest.

the fall of the twin towers
tidal waves
holy war
the end....I'm thinking nuclear

he has been right on for the first three

Nostradamus made many predictions, hundreds even. Ya some were right or close with some manipulation, but even more I bet are wrong.

The end in 2012 ? nah I dont buy it. This topic has fascinated people for a very long time. The internet phenomina known as john titor also played on this fascination. He predicted a US civil war in 2005, with a final nuclear end in 2015. This guy somehow has made a huge following, and kept it going for 5 to 6 years. His show was debunked by a guy who has a website with the information.

But if the end is to be 2012, I hereby reserve the name "The Lord Humungus" for myself, thank you. :D

Nostradamus quartains go until the year 3786 or something that is when he stopped writing them and he thinks that is when all mankind will cease to be.

hopefully the world won't end for a long, long time.

i would still like to do some things.

I remember when the same peoples said Nostrodumbass predicted 1993 as the end then the year 2000. The real geniuses are the folks that make the money off of manuipulating people into buying this crap.

I believe God's word was that even Jesus does NOT know the hour or day?? when he (God) will return to the earth, so surely if Jesus doesn't know we don't know.

I've lived over a half century and from my earilest memories I've heard people saying the "end is near" which until I began to think on my own I was scared that the world was going to end before I even had a chance to grow up go places and see things....those were the days of hell fire and brimstone.

Seek out your own salvation. My advise is to be ready.

Good post! A brief study of history revels that the year 999 was a dangerous one. Many believe the year 1000 would result in the end of the world and in many places there was mass chaos. If only they knew the computers shutting down in the year 2000 would cause that! Wait!.. ;)

http://www.revelation13.net/Laci.html <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<WTF!!?!?! ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PARANOID-SCHIZO-PATH! seriously, this guy must not get any sleep at night, he probably sits in bed paranoid of some "astrological symbol of death" coming to kill him b/c he read it in a Bible code. J-O-M.!

HOLY CRAP!! What a nut job!
I like how he points out movies to prove his theories. Movies like Terminator and Terminator 3, and Omen. I wonder if they have high-speed or dial up at his nut house.

I won't even waste my time reading crap like this.....only your replies to stuff like this cracks me up :D better than reading a news paper when I'm sipping my coffee.

I try not to get caught up in this way of thinking....People have been predicting the end of days since the very first writings. It wasn't long ago 2000 when people were thinking the end was upon us....guess what we are still here. If you think these times are bad in the world try the dark ages. I can predict this...at some point the sun will ingulf the earth as it expands, but that will not happen for millions of years, but that ending will only lead to the beginning of something else. There will always be disasters and wars that is for sure...But how someone can compare tidlewaves and 911 is beyond me...

i'm not saying its all doom and gloom and all that stuff. i, like everyone in their right mind, hope everything goes on and there are no big problems or what not. the show (its just a show, i don't take it litterally) i saw was just saying something widespread and out of the ordinary was going to happen. the end, that was implied but i don't see it happening.

the comparison between the tidal waves and 911 isn't that hard. its a catastrophic event taking place in new york. yes there are huge differences but for a predicton its not half bad you have to admit. or its a lucky guess. but significant distruction, many many people dying, a change in the way the world behaves, either of those two scinarios would have had simular effects. and honestly, who would ever imagined something as horrific happening as what happened on 911.

and anyways, heres how the world will end...

I think at least half Americans have reverted back to the same old thinking they had pre 911. They have a Jack Ass as a mascot too! The Flu in a bad year kills significantly more people than the tsunami did worldwide and diarrhea kills tons more than 911. Now why didn't Nostraldomas predict massive deaths from the runs?

Forgive me, but I was scared by this stuff growing up by ill informed relatives until I got to the age I could think on my own and knew better. I don't like it being spewed around and as the previous posted said not even Jesus knows the final day. Relistically, you have bigger chances of dying before you finish reading the rest of this tread by and accident or natural causes.

Glad ya made it!
