we'll another stupid question so here goes
If you disconnect your battery to do random work do you have to do anything to the ecm? Like reset it re flash or whatever?

No just drive it around for like 20 -30 minutes and it will set it self.

If you have a Turbotweak tunable prom chip such as the 5.7 version, the chip reverts back to the default settings when the battery is disconnected.
It's a good idea to keep a record of the settings you have changed so you can check them and reset them if needed.
