haha I seen this.. I understand they are a real problem, but don't they taste good? Seems like a waste kinda. I like the idea of Heli Hunting..

They will tear up some crops if left. They are definately a nuisance.

Depends on how big they are, and how the meat is prepped.
Some guys here trap them, feed them domestic feed, then BLAMO!

My bud shot a 317#'r in his back yard.........One tuff hombre!

They do the average litter is 6-8 piglets/litter and females become sexually mature at 6 months of age. They have no natural predators once they get past about 10-15 lbs. You have to get rid of 66% of the population /year to keep the growth to zero.

So bad here, that the DNR has organized the farmers, so that they can call on the DNR to send a team of "exterminators". [My bud and me.]
You sign up on line, and the DNR then makes the list available to the farmers. The farmer then sets up the kill zone, [So you don't blow his favorite cow away, etc.]
I'm kinda concerned that my .223 may not have enuf grunt. My bud backs me up w/ the .308.

You need an ar15 and a bunch of ammo , oh and a helicopter to do damage. Them things are dangerous.

Hill county (where I live) hired a chopper and a gunman to kill feral hogs a few years ago. The biggest 1 day total was 328 so that gives you an idea how bad the problem is. We killed 1 at 285 lbs and they're getting bigger now. Some idiot NW of us opened an "exotic" game ranch with Russian boars. Of course they got out and have been breading with the feral hogs so now we've got "bigger and better" hogs.
