1st i want to thank Ben for helping me out with the project of installing the new suspention, took about 4 hours to do, you know 1st time and and all, well on the way home found a nice open road to test out the new sway bar, all i can say is, holy macro this thing works sweet, well worth the wait, i boosted about 6psi and went WOT and the car just sat on his butt and took off, no tire spin at all, none whatsoever, took off straight as an arrow and it was that way all the way down for about 1,500 feet until i had to let off, tried it again on the way back this time boosted about 9psi off the line spun a little bit but the car just went straight as ever and spinning was not much it just hooked and it went, this was done on cold tires no burn out performed on anything of that sort, tires were bald 275/60/15 bfg DR's, and let me let you that before this new suspention the car would just spin the tires and not hook whatsoever, this is the best investment i have done on this car so far, you can make all the power in the world but if you can't put it down to the ground then is not worth it, this sway bay does just that, i am a very happy camper, thanks HRPARTS great product, also HWY driving is great, i felt like i was driving my little honda CRX the car handled awesome at HWY speeds and responded to every little move of the steering :)

Yeah it definitely does seem to work well. The car launches flat, and just hooks. Now I'm wondering how the car would work with a new set of upper and lower LCAs as part of the package? It would probably be incredible. Next time I think we could do the install in 2 hours easy after having done one of them. Just as a note to HR, the install would be easier for first timers with a couple more close up photos included in the instructions. Other than that it all went together pretty easy. It will be interesting to see how your car hooks compared to my car with the ATR bar and the HR LCAs. Old school versus new tech..... ;) Enjoy your car Kevin. :)

Shhhhhhhh!

Your not supposed to tell.
<G>
I just got my bar, but had gotten a ride in a car with the prototype, definetely worth it!.

Must be nice to actually get the bar. I think i put my order in In Aug /03. Guess i'll have to be more patient.

I was one of the very early ones, to order, and just got mine.

Yes, it's for sure worth the wait.
And he was up front about it taking a while. With his move and all I can understand it taking so long.

Both worked well...................

i like the wolfe racecraft bar myself, havent use either, i know cal hartline uses it, but havent heard many good things yet...

anyone else have experience with these?

Pics?

I have one for my 67 and because of some things have not been able to install it yet. It looks great and was packaged well with everything. Glad it's working so good for everyone.
I plan on getting one for GN1 later, too.
If you can, someone please put some pics up of the finished product at some different angles. It would help Paul and all of us who are going to do an install.

Doesn't HR's bar clamp to the axle tubes?

I'm not sure I like that idea...

Yes, the brackets bolt to the housing, they won't go anywhere once bolted in, this makes it a true bolt on. I've got the axle out of my car now, I've welded the bottom brackets on, so you can weld them on if you want.

IS this Bar red in color,,if not can anyone tell me who makes the red bar,,seemed to be like almost 1.5" ,I could be wrong ...can anyone help..
Thanks Dennis

There's lots of 3rd Gen F-Bodies running around with a similiar oem set-up.

You can weld it in. But then it's not a bolt-on.

The Wolfe can be a PITB to use with any over the axle exhaust system. And takes cutting into the frame rails.

The HR bar is a bolt in, and accomplices the same thing.

The difference from the stock set up to either of the two using links it that it takes the binding motions out of the lower arms, so the suspension doesn't bind, when it's heavily loaded.
