Does anyone know someone who does a/c heater home repairs on the side? My heater isnt working and some guy came to check it out and said its about $700 ($450 parts and the rest labor) But this guy has been out before and everytime they come out (same dude and business) he quotes you something, fixes it then months later its another problem so I dont trust their daig anymore. Or does anyone know of a good a/c repairs shop who does good repairs and good prices? thanks!

Try doing a google search on your heater model and model number and you'll likely find message boards a lot like this one where you can get on-line advice on how to fix it yourself.

wow you got lucky

i needed repair and the guy came out "fixed it" it did the same thing he came out "fixed it again" and it went out again now they want 3k to replace the heater! So looks like i will learn how to replace the heater good luck with your repair

Google search didnt really lead me anywhere. As for the a/c guy, the a/c guy came and replace 1 thing, then it came on but didnt blow hard (back in July) then replace the same thing again, worked for like 1min (long enough so he could leave) then stopped blowing hard. Orginally quoted $850 and said thats all it needs (which I know as a tech you NEVER tell a customer that) but I got him to say that. Then he came back and quoted me another part for $800 more so I told him if I new it needed this too, then I wouldnt have replaced the first thing, I would have found someone who knows what they are doing. He didnt like that. Then he replaced that (for free after I threaten to take him to court and called the BBB) and now I just found out the heater doesnt work. He wanted to charge me $45 for daig which I told him where he could find his money. He daignosed it for free but I doubt he knows what hes doing. Quoted me another $650 so I told him get the fcuk out, litterally. So I need someone good to fix my stuff!

DO NOT USE TLC ELECT AND A/C REPAIR!!!!!! THEY SUCK!!!!!!!

Try calling Ceasars Appliance Service in Laguna Nuguel at 949-830-4151 or 364-5750. I don't know if they'll be able to help you on your heater, but they might be able to refer you to a good tech/service.

I've gone to Ceasars for help in troubleshooting my home appliances before. They saved me a lot of time and money giving me free troubleshooting advice until I found the part I needed to swap and then I bought the replacement part from them and they gave me guidance on how to do the repair on my own.
