Hi,
I'm in the process of making a new gauge holder for my 85 El Camino which I'm transplanting an 87 GN drivetrain into. I want to use the existing gauge bezel out of the GN as well as some of the idiot lights. My question is this: What size gauges will work? I want to use the Autometer ultralight pro-comp gauges and would like to use them as follows: On the far left and right will be the speedometer and the tach (maybe the 3 & 3/8" gauges?) and in between these 2, I would like to have four 2&1/16" gauges (boost, fuel level, oil press, & water temp). Do you think the sizes of the gauges will work? This is very similar to the setup that is currently in the El Camino.
