Looking for some info regarding the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires and connectors from those who have done it, or are still doing it.

Anyone have the crimping die that could forward some measurements from it?

I have a gang of telephony and Ethernet crimpers that all appear to have standard dies. I wanted to verify the MSD die would work in my crimpers.

Thanks.

Mine are custom made 10.5mm wires. Never had issues with them like I had with the MSD's. Love them!

I just installed a set of MSD 8.5 wires on a stock GN. They were made by RJC. Black in color with wire spacers and numbered. They fit very tight on the coil. I think the price was $115.

Most issues I had with the MSD's where with misfires. The boot where it connects to the spark plug would become loose after awhile and the plugs would begin to misfire. It was on my Pontiac that I ran nitrous in. I had to change the copper plugs often (about ever 6-10k miles) and the wires would only last about 1 year before I had to replace them. I switched over to some custom made wires by a buddy of mine and they have been on the Pontiac since 2005, no misfires. So I had him make me a set for the GN and never looked back. Ive had the ones on the GN since 2006 and I never had issues with misfires or anything. And they are also black!

Wow!

What a difference wires make!

Made a set of MSD's, tightened my plug gap, and went out for some tomfoolery....I am sold on the MSD's.

I bought the bulk materials and tooling so I can replace them once a year if needed.

MSD's are great, I just made a set for my GSX two weeks ago and noticed a lot less radio static with them compared to several year old Mallory Sidewinders. I have 10mm Magnacores on my WE4 and they fit perfect and have held up great. I think the MSD's are comparable in quality and they should last for several years.

Last year, I made a set of MSDs up for my car and have not had any problems. I used to use Magnecors, but the MSDs are so much easier to source, and I can custom fit the MSDs.
