HOOKER cat-back system

Guys, I need an exhaust system and dont have the cash for the ATR piece.

Looking at the Hooker system but it seems that I am getting different disc of the system.

Discription on Summitracing.com says it only fits 86-87...and that it exits in stock location. I go to Holley.com (Hooker new parent company) and it says only fits 86-87 cars AND it exits under rear bumper...!!!!!

Anyone have this system / like it ???

1. Does it exit in stock position ?

2. Will it fit my '85 car ? (almost seems like a dumb question)

I have that system and it is great - it also comes with a test pipe... It exits in the stock location and should fit the 85's no problem (I don't know how the downpipe looks on the hot airs). Mine came with super comp mufflers which I am gonna replace with Hooker max flows soon... Great bang for the buck

It looks great - exits stock. There is a drone involved - but after 2 years I don't hear it anymore .
I drove the car around the block with no exhaust at all right before Ron's put the Hooker on - not much difference to no exhaust - it flows very well.

I have the hooker exhaust..pretty good system..I painted my exhaust with black high temp paint to keep from rusting on outside & been on there for over & year & still looks good..the super comp mufflers suck that comes with it though..I think they dont sell many of those mufflers so that why they offer it with there exhaust systems..I called them & they said tuff..thats all they come with & if i wanted different id have to buy them..so... you better bet i didnt buy mufflers from them..i went with dynomax welded steel ultra flows..same as max flows basically..they are so much better than the super junk mufflers & same price as max flows..got mine at advance auto parts

i like the hooker exhaust. i dont think its loud at all, i wish it was a little louder, but for around $300 youcant go wrong.

It will fit your car no prob. It will come with the Arochamber mufflers and does not drone inside the car.

I have it and like it. Mine came with the Aero Chamber mufflers. Not a as loud as I would like, but does not drone either. Maybe it will liven up when I install the 3" dp. I ordered mine from Summit.

I bought the hooker dual exhaust and it came with black aero chamber mufflers. I bought mines from jegs, for i think 300$ shipped!!! It came like after three days of ordering it also! A littlle drone at low rpm throttle, but it sounds kewl.

I installed pep boys chrome muffler tips, and it increased the sound of the exhuast, it sounds much deeper now. People who have been in my car like the way the exhuast sounds. I have also painted the exhuast hi-temp black before installing it.

I bought mine from summit came with aero chambers, the only thing I did not like was the hanger for the tail pipes. I had them cut off and new hangers installed behind the rear tires. looks much cleaner and factory. you'll know what I mean if you buy the system.

In the Jegs catalog it says you get the super comps, but who knows. dpok69 said he ordered it from Jegs and got the aero chambers. Maybe they all come that way now.
