Hooker exhaust and band clamps

On the Hooker exhaust (from Jegs or Summit), do the "Y" and tail pipes slip inside the mufflers or does the mufflers slip inside the "Y" and tail pipes? I just ordered the Hooker system from Jegs and would like to connect the system with band clamps. Figured I'd stop off at NAPA and pick me up some band clamps so when the exhaust arrives, I'll be all ready to slap it on. But if the mufflers slip inside the "Y" and tail pipes, band clamps ain't gonna work.
